I’m a bit saddened that I couldn’t get this post in before midnight yesterday, but it doesn’t make me any less excited to blog about this. No one understands how excited I am. I’m so excited I have the inner tremors of excitement. Just. Siiigh.
One of my favourite Japanese rock bands, ONE OK ROCK, has finally released the full music video for their 7th single, The Beginning after two torturous weeks. Can we just talk about how happy I am. I feel like I’ve been waiting a month for this release. I need to buy this single when it comes out. I can’t even describe my feelings right now. Continue reading to view the video and understand the reason for my excitement.
“The Beginning” – From the single, The Beginning.
I’ve never been disappointed by a ONE OK ROCK video, even back when Alex was in the band. It makes me happy to know that I’ve been around since the band’s beginning (“Keep It Real”, anyone?) and I’ve seen them grow to be a band that is a force to be reckoned with even after losing a member. What makes me appreciate this video is not only the plot, but the dreamy effect it has, not to mention the solid vocals and melody, and the amazing amount of close ups. Everything about this song screams opening theme song, but it’s still all ONE OK ROCK and not many bands can create an opening theme song that suits what they are creating the song for and keeps their unique style intact. Kudos to them for doing it right.
